The Charco Azul Beach It is located in the northeast of the island of The Palm. It’s about a set of natural pools of great beauty, which were conditioned in such a way that you can take the bath at any time of the year. It is composed of a large pool, a children’s pool and a pond called “Puddle of the Ladies”.
The set runs along the pedestrian promenade of El Melonar, which connects the Villa of San Andrés y Sauces with the Puerto Espíndola. It has a length of 20 meters with 10 width. Despite being a rocky beach with strong waves, it is one of the main bathing areas of northern La Palma, since in the pools the water is very calm.
The area has changing rooms and showers, toilets, cleaning and surveillance services, and a Red Cross post. During the season they open the kiosks and beach bars.
It has a fairly high occupancy rate, because it is an easily accessible semi-urban beach and because it is very advisable to take children.
You can get there with the non-urban bus service or by car, since it has a parking space of 50 seats.
