The adventure to reach the famous citadel begins in Cuzco. You can arrive by bus and train or, make the Inca Trail that starts in the Qoriwayrachina. (This tour lasts an average of 4 days and you should bring warm clothes, sneakers, long pants, repellent, sunglasses, tent and food).

If you prefer to arrive in a traditional way you have several offers to do so:

By bus, The departure is from Aguas Calientes station every 20 minutes until 2 in the afternoon. The trip has a maximum duration of 30 minutes and you must pay 10 euros for the round trip ticket.

By train, You have the options to leave from Poroy or San Pedro station.

Poroy leaves the Hiram Bingham train, the same that includes in its service the best of national and international cuisine, drinks, and entrances to the sanctuary. The round trip ticket at Hiran Bingham costs about 430 euros.

From San Pedro leave the Vistadome and Backpackers trains. The first costs about 100 euros (round trip) and, the second is priced at 55 euros or so.

Cusco train

The bus and the trains that start from San Pedro They do not include in their price the entrance to Machu Picchu, in that case you will have to pay a fee of about 30 euros more.
