The Palau de la Música Catalana Barcelona was inaugurated in 1908. It is one of the most unique concert halls in the world.
The Modernist style reaches its maximum splendor. This has earned him to be declared Heritage of humanity by unesco. Its design is due to the architect Lluis Domènech i Montaner.
Highlights the stained glass window from the auditorium, which is an inverted polychrome glass dome with angel decoration through which sunlight enters. The background of the stage is decorated with sculptures of 18 muses playing instruments. Also a representation of the car guided by the Wagner Valkyrie with horses galloping towards the stage.
Attending a concert at El Palau is a dream that we should all fulfill, almost an obligation. If you can’t, there is a daily service guided tours organized to the Modernist Concert Hall and if available, at Lluis Millet Room Yet the Chamber Music Room. The groups are 55 people and visits are made in Spanish, Catalan and English. Its duration is 50 minutes.
The tickets they go on sale with one week in advance. They can be purchased directly at the box office, by phone at 902.475.485 or online. General rates are € 12 and € 10 are reduced. We recommend making the purchase well in advance. A fact: it does not have a wardrobe service: it sees light luggage.
