The Parish Church of San Pedro It is located in the Plaza of the same name, in the center of the city of Huelva. Its construction was carried out on the remains of a mosque with Gothic-Mudejar style.
This church is the oldest temple in the city, with an estimated construction date in the 15th to 16th centuries. It has had very important reforms after the year 1755, when the earthquake in Lisbon took place that seriously damaged it.
It has a typical plan and elevation of a Sevillian Mudejar temple. With three ships separated by arches and a polygonal apse. They stand out for their great value the main altarpiece of the Main Chapel 18th century, the gate of the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception, the Baptismal Chapel and some drawers and the stalls of Chorus.
To visit the temple can only be done during church hours. Masses are on weekdays at 7:30 p.m. and holidays at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
