To be able to plan our activities or holidays we must know what are the holidays of official work calendar for Spain.
They are classified in official parties for the whole country, Y regional or local parties. In each Community two more holidays are added and in each locality also two more; so I would advise you that according to the Autonomous Community that you visit you find out in advance about local calendar. Remember that each region has its patron saint festivals and historical dates.
They are non-working common to all Autonomies:
- January 1 – New Year
- January 6th – Epiphany
- Holy Friday
- May 1st – Work party
- August 15th – Assumption of the Virgin
- October 12 ° – National Holiday of Spain
- November 1st – All Saints Day
- 6th of December – Spanish Constitution Day
- December 8 – Immaculate
- December 25th – Nativity
It is possible that many tourist attractions for your vacation remain closed January 1, May 1 and December 25.
